Stubble up!

This article is pretty interesting. And, also, is an example of the absurdity of evolutionary theories. To wit, "The explanation for the preference is not clear, but experts in human evolution say that that facial hair may be a signal of aggression because it boosts the apparent size of the lower jaw, emphasising the teeth as weapons."

I don't know about you, but I don't often think about using my teeth as some sort of deadly device.

Someone social-sciency should carry this out with Mormons to see if the same trends are true, what with strong social aversions to facial hair.

This is funny because after being fairly clean-shaven for a couple years now, I decided to stop shaving about 2 weeks ago and have a little stubble going on.

Also, this part that you mentioned:
"The explanation for the preference is not clear, but experts in human evolution say that that facial hair may be a signal of aggression because it boosts the apparent size of the lower jaw, emphasising the teeth as weapons."

is fucking ridiculous. I think in most other fields, if you, as an expert, made such a huge logical leap, you would be shot.

Robert: the real question is if Mrs. B has an increased interest in you as a, ahem, lover now that you've taken to showing how manly you can be?

This post needs to be stubble it up. Or stubbling it up. That's how I would have said it.

Nope. It's a direct command to grow stubble on one's own face, is it not? Not a command to stubble "it" up, which is implied to be someone else's face (or at least something not a part of you personally). It is also clearly not an action the writer is currently doing, seeing as he does sport a full beard these days, no?
